The new Grandeur Hybrid release
Have you noticed the noticeable increase in the new Grandeur models on the streets lately? Having already evolved into its sixth generation and undergone another facelift, the design has sparked mixed opinions, especially with its jewel-like front grille.
Despite this, I believe I've seen news stating that the Grandeur has recorded over 90,000 cumulative sales this year alone since its facelift, maintaining its position as the top-selling domestic car. Truly, the people's car is indeed the people's car!
Today, I want to introduce you to a vehicle belonging to my close associate, Team Leader Im from Expro Detail, who recently received his Grandeur Hybrid. Considering the prolonged rainy season and the recent typhoon, car wash revenues likely took a hit, yet seeing someone successful enough to own a Grandeur suggests that things aren't that tough after all, right? Haha!
Just kidding. Is there anywhere doing well these days?
I guess we just have to endure, holding on with a spirit of perseverance...
This Grandeur Hybrid has been in the works for almost half a year since the contract was signed. I strongly recommended it, suggesting a white hybrid with a full cream beige interior, claiming that’s true premium quality. Especially, the rear design of the Grandeur Hybrid looks fantastic!
Moreover, it pairs beautifully with the Solar Guard Quantum tint that reflects a subtle emerald hue. It truly was an excellent choice... ^^
This is the Solar Guard Premium Shinwol branch.
The Shinwol branch used to be the site of a battery shop called Tiamo Garage. It recently opened, and while the space is smaller compared to other Solar Guard Premium shops, the manager there has received recommendations from the locals for his excellent work quality.
The Grandeur Hybrid arrived, and the meticulous masking begins before any work...
It seems like they spend almost an hour just on masking. Haha! From a customer's perspective, even if it takes a little longer, they likely prefer thorough work, right?
They mention they only take on one vehicle per day for the work. Rushing doesn’t help anyone...
For the film selection, they chose Solar Guard Quantum without any hesitation. I’ve experienced all the Solar Guard film lines, and perhaps because I’m not sensitive to it, but all of them perform well in heat blocking.
It’s hard to say which one is better or worse... ^^
Although the term “cost-effectiveness” doesn’t quite fit a premium tint brand, I think Quantum is the film that captures three rabbits at once: dress-up, performance, and reasonable price.
They haven’t even started the tinting job yet; they are carefully removing the interior door trim. This is the essence of Solar Guard Premium...
By removing the trim and performing the work, they can use the windows immediately. They remove any moisture from the glass that is hidden beneath the trim, eliminating the hassle of leaving a paper wedge in place for a day or two.
You can feel the artisan's touch as they begin cutting and shaping the film for each section.
The work continues meticulously to the point of being tedious. The workers need to be this careful; while the owner might prefer speed, I think they know that taking their time and working carefully ultimately increases their value!
Two hours after the Grandeur Hybrid's arrival... they have just finished applying tint to the driver's side window. Haha!
They demonstrate a strong determination to ensure a flawless job without a speck of dust!
This is what artisan spirit looks like, everyone...
But they can finish today, right? Haha!
They don’t even respond, and the delicate edge shaving continues.
The Grandeur Hybrid features soundproof glass with two layers of noise insulation, but the finish doesn’t seem perfect. The curvature at the edge of the glass is somewhat uneven, so they are carefully shaving it while maintaining an appropriate distance to prevent the film from lifting.
The owner and manager work seamlessly together, and before long, they finish the door tinting and begin reassembling the trim!
You are currently watching the Solar Guard Premium Shinwol branch. You are seeing the Quantum work being done...
It’s an old story, but back when I tinted my first car, a Galloper, there was nothing like this. Tinting meant quickly applying pre-cut film from a roadside car accessory shop, often covered in dust, for around 200,000 to 300,000 won. Haha!
Seeing how elegantly the work is done these days makes me realize why customers are willing to pay that much and leave satisfied.
However, applying a low-quality film to a car like the Grandeur, which is driven by successful individuals, would just be disrespectful, wouldn’t it?
As I reminisce about those old memories while chatting to myself, the work on the front and rear glass, as well as the panoramic sunroof, is nearing completion. I previously grumbled about the slow work at the Shinwol branch, but it’s not as slow as I thought.
The owner of the Solar Guard Shinwol branch specializes in batteries, but he is diligently supporting the tinting work. Additionally, he plays a QC role, checking for any mistakes with a keen eye.
Shall we take a look at the results?
The Quantum film density is 28% for the front and 14% for the side, rear, and panoramic glass.
This combination provides just enough darkness to maintain privacy while ensuring excellent visibility from inside the vehicle. It’s the most popular combination among customers who choose Quantum.
When slightly illuminated, this is the extent to which the interior silhouette is visible. However, the reflective film ensures complete invisibility under sunlight, which adds to its appeal... ^^
The job is complete!
Great work, everyone.
Let’s take another look; isn’t the Solar Guard Quantum color beautiful?
It pairs perfectly with the Grandeur Hybrid!
I recommended it.
Great job, everyone! Clap clap! Haha!
