Kia Motors has released additional photos of the all-new Sorento (MQ4).
Unlike the previously released official photos, these images appear more realistic and closely resemble the actual vehicle. The car in the photos features a white color and a panoramic sunroof, suggesting it is likely one of the highest specifications available.
Every time I see the front of the Sorento (MQ4), I am reminded of the third-generation Sorento (UM).
This resemblance evokes a strong sense of continuity with the previous model's traditional design. While some may find the lack of a dramatic redesign disappointing, it could also mean that customer preferences will be more favorable. ^^
From the side view, we can see the vehicle is equipped with 19-inch wheels.
While looking at the images released today, I found some aspects confusing and had a few questions. Typically, when official images are released, they showcase the 'top-spec + fully optioned' model. However, the vehicle in the photos has 19-inch wheels.
Previously, the vehicle displayed on Kia's official website featured wheels that appeared to be 20 inches.
Despite my predictions, the white vehicle released today and the blue vehicle previously shown might have different trim levels or options, suggesting the white vehicle may not be the top trim. If that's not the case, there could be a difference in wheel specifications based on the engine.
However, as mentioned earlier, official images usually showcase the 'top-spec + fully optioned' vehicle, making it likely that the difference is due to the engine. ^^;;
The rear design appears somewhat rugged, and as expected, the reverse lights sit just below the rear bumper reflectors. ^^
This photo features a vehicle in a different color that was released today. Notably, it showcases LED license plate lights.
Personally, after seeing the interior photos, I can only express my admiration. ^^;
The black and camel two-tone seats with ambient lighting create an amazing combination. While many prefer white seats, considering maintenance, the camel-colored interior could be a practical choice. I’m eager to see the second-row interior as well.
Currently, the Sorento (MQ4) community is buzzing about the initial launch of the 2.5T gasoline engine.
The above photo is an enlarged view of the released interior images. Looking at the RPM gauge on the right side of the dashboard, you can see that the red zone is set quite high. Typically, gasoline engines have a red zone around 6,500 RPM, while diesel engines are around 4,500 RPM.
Of course, some may think of the 1.6T + hybrid option.
The above photo shows the K5 hybrid dashboard. You can clearly see a significant difference from the Sorento (MQ4).
My second question involves the emblem in the above photo.
In previous diesel and hybrid models, the emblem featured "EcoDynamic" or "Hybrid" on the right side. This is evident on the white-bodied vehicle as well. However, the vehicle in the image does not have any emblem on the right side...
It's highly unlikely that an official image would omit an emblem, and while it may be wishful thinking, gasoline vehicles typically do not have any emblems on the right side. ^^;;
If this article has sparked a glimmer of hope for those considering purchasing the Sorento (MQ4) 2.5 gasoline turbo, I apologize. I debated whether to post this on my blog, knowing that if you read my article and later hear news of a cancellation, it would be even more disappointing.
Anyway, the pre-orders for the Sorento (MQ4) are just three days away. Typically, information regarding pricing will be released the day before pre-orders begin, along with official details about the engine. Therefore, don’t rely solely on rumors; just a little patience, and I believe we will have all the relevant information this week.
I wish you all a week filled with joy. This concludes today’s post. Thank you.
