Hello, this is Baek Mun-jo.

In this post, I will review the water-based wax that I previously mentioned in my car wash post.

If you haven't seen it yet, I think it's worth stopping by to take a look!

Hahaha

This is the water-based wax from Metawrap.

I actually got selected to try this product as part of a review group. Personally, I believe that you can only truly understand the performance of wax products after using them for a long time,

So, I will share my thoughts after using it several times.

The application method is the same as any regular wax product.

First, I perform a basic car wash. At that time, I had already run out of the previous wax I was using, so there was no beading or anything.

The drying process is also the same.

In fact, since my car has a silver body, it looks clean even just after washing.

However, I use wax not just for shine but also for its water-repellent effects and the ease of removing dirt, along with various other benefits like scratch coverage.

I typically use it for the water-repellent effect. After washing my car, I feel proud even if it rains...

Before application, the paint surface definitely felt rough.

The application of the water-based wax is very convenient.

Just spray it on and wipe it off, and you're done.

Metawrap's biggest advantage is that it can be used not only on painted surfaces but also on glass, plastic, and even wrapped vehicles. I applied it to the painted surface, lower garnish, and glass.

On rainy days, I found it much easier to drive without wipers since the rain just slid off. There was no noise when the wipers operated either.

You can repeat this process indefinitely.

I didn't expect much shine, but surprisingly, it provided a noticeable shine.

I also felt that the painted surface became quite smooth. It even covered some minor scratches (swirl marks) to some extent.

I also applied wax to the bumper and lower garnish, and I noticed the color became richer.

There were some areas that had turned white due to discoloration, but I could cover them to some extent.

As always with wax, to see the beading effect, you need to use it over a longer period, right?

To evaluate durability and everything else. So far, I've washed my car 3-4 times over the past month, and it has been exposed to a lot of rain.

Every time I washed my car, I made sure to spray and wipe the wax at the end. The results are visible in the photos.

On that day, it rained heavily, and as you can see in the pictures, there were a lot of water droplets. Once I started driving over 37 mph (60 km/h), all the droplets began to fly off.

At speeds over 62 mph (100 km/h), you can't even tell if it rained.

To be honest, I haven't used a wide variety of waxes, but I think this one has decent performance.

In conclusion, to summarize the product details again:

First, the spreadability was excellent. After drying, I simply sprayed it on and wiped it off without leaving any residue, and I appreciated how smoothly it wiped off.

An additional advantage of the Metawrap product is that it can be used on glass and wrapped vehicles. I sprayed it on glass surfaces without hesitation, and I also used it on the lower garnish of the vehicle.

Honestly, I was worried that it might leave stains on the lower garnish, but it didn't leave any stains. Instead, it even removed minor scratches and enhanced the subtle gloss typical of matte finishes.

You can clearly see the water-repellent effect in the photos.

Another advantage is that I often experience headaches from strong chemical smells, but this product had a mild and pleasant scent.

I haven't identified any downsides yet... maybe just the less flashy packaging design compared to other well-known brands?

Overall, I think this product is quite satisfactory. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants an easy way to maintain their vehicle.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the folks at Metawrap for allowing me to experience such a great product.

That wraps up today's post. Thank you!
