Hyundai has unveiled the Casper Electric, a compact electric SUV that emphasizes a dynamic yet sporty design concept. The company introduced this new model, named "Insteroid," which combines "Instar" and "steroid," suggesting enhancement. The design incorporates elements inspired by gaming.

The front of the concept car retains key design features from the Casper. With a chassis based on the Casper, the vehicle boasts 21-inch wheels, a wing spoiler, and air flaps in the wheel arches, enhancing its width and emphasizing a sports car-like dynamism.

The interior features an experimental design with an immersive soundscape and a unique cockpit. The dashboard, sound design, and various elements inside and outside the vehicle showcase the boost character symbolizing Insteroid. The materials used include a 3D knit fabric that emphasizes sustainability.

Instar made its debut in major European markets, including Germany and the UK, last year and quickly gained popularity. In February, it sold over 1,600 units in Europe, surpassing the sales of the Ioniq 5.

Some experts believe that the design of the Insteroid concept at Hyundai's European Design Center reflects the growing popularity of Instar in Europe. The company plans to publicly reveal the Insteroid at the Seoul Mobility Show on the 4th, followed by unveilings in other key markets for Instar.
