When it comes to tuning a car, the suspension is often the most intriguing aspect. While high horsepower is attractive, my experiences on the street and circuit have shown me the importance of a stable ride and the joy of cornering.
Moreover, the suspension plays a significant role in the vehicle's aesthetics, making it a win-win situation.
Today, I want to share information about the world-renowned KW Suspension, which aims to provide the best in suspension technology.
As I watched the installation, I became curious about how KW Suspension would perform on domestic models. I wondered what differences I might notice and how much better the ride could be, which led me to post videos on YouTube and write this article.
Although I cannot express the performance aspects since this isn't my car, I can provide insights based on the product photos.
If you've dabbled in tuning, you've likely heard of KW Suspension.
KW Suspension prominently showcases its products at international racing events and various auto shows. Their suspensions are well-known for being fitted to high-performance vehicles like BMW's M series, AMG models, and Porsches.
Occasionally, they even create options for select domestic models that show potential (likely based on sales figures).
For instance, the G70 and its sibling, the Stinger, both benefit from KW's expertise.
Some might consider this a blessed vehicle, but the price can be quite burdensome. It's a bit steep.
Since they don't aim for mass production, their products don't compare favorably with domestic suspension tuning prices.
While it belongs to the luxury suspension category, it’s understandable why.
Owners of imported vehicles often prefer products made overseas due to their higher quality compared to domestic suspensions.
You can think of it as tuning in relation to the car's price.
This car deserves this level of tuning!
If I were driving a high-performance imported car, I would feel the same way.
You can easily find information about KW Suspension on their official Instagram, where they have gained significant popularity.
When you consider the technology and applications involved, KW Suspension truly represents an unimaginable level of quality. I can understand why they are considered the best.
The mere act of sharing this information reflects their confidence.
Now, let's shift gears and discuss the practical experiences I've had with the G70 KW V3 suspension.
KW Suspension V3 Coilover
When you look at the G70, you see a truly attractive vehicle.
This sedan manages to combine sportiness with elegance, which attracts a diverse age range and a variety of tuning styles.
While the G70 comes equipped with a well-engineered electronic suspension, many still wonder if tuning is necessary. However, human desire for improvement knows no bounds!
Tuning is what fulfills that desire.
The G70 KW V3 suspension tuning uses stock mounts. It would be great if it came with dedicated pillow mounts, but it seems they don't offer that due to pricing considerations.
Using stock mounts provides excellent ride comfort and durability, making it a versatile setup. Recently, even domestic cars have begun to adopt this approach instead of overly aggressive settings.
The aesthetic quality of KW Suspension is undeniable. Just looking at their signature color combinations puts a smile on your face. They also design the body and finishes to last over time.
Since these are undercarriage components, they tend to rust or age quickly, but KW has considered this during their design process. Global products truly stand out.
And now, the part I love the most.
KW’s unique two-way suspension system.
By adjusting both rebound and bump damping pressures, you can achieve a more detailed setup. This allows you to control the response when the damper compresses and rebounds, creating a balance of softness and strength that aligns with recent suspension trends.
While domestic brands manage to achieve somewhat comparable performance with their springs and dampers, they still fall short of the two-way system's capabilities.
What’s even more impressive is that the same damper can offer a two-way adjustment.
I hope we can see similar features in domestic products soon.
KW V3 coilover damping adjustment differs slightly from known domestic products, and the instructions provide helpful guidance.
They include basic settings, but adjustments may vary based on the expertise of the installation shop, so it's best to consult with a professional.
Additionally, a canceller is necessary for electronic suspension systems, and KW provides a dedicated canceller.
KW has thoughtfully provided the installation location as well.
You can also change the location if needed.
We've covered the G70 KW Suspension V3 coilover system.
I found it fascinating to explore KW Suspension in detail for the first time, especially since it applies to domestic models. I wanted to share this information through a blog post for various reasons.
I wrote this from the perspective of a consumer rather than a seller, so I realize there may be some gaps in my knowledge. Please take it lightly.
This is an automotive tuning blog where I learn and study.
