Throughout the winter, I hardly drove my Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG
I gave it the nickname "Oops, E63" haha
I originally wanted to switch cars, but with the used car prices not holding up, I’m just keeping it for my collection.
I wish it were an M model?! Right?! Haha
Still, I’m satisfied knowing it’s somewhat rare; it’s hard to see an E63 AMG on the road~
Since the next-generation E-Class 63 hasn’t come out yet, I hope this will be the last 63 model, haha
I couldn’t do much, so I just changed the engine oil and differential oil like crazy, and I bought some equipment for the first time in a while...
I’m trying out the “coolant exchange equipment.”
I had a mechanic do the M2, but since I maintain the car so well, I’m sure we changed it, but I don’t feel anything?! Haha
I want to feel it.
First, I’ll open the cap...
Seeing this... instead of thinking it's dirty, I start to wonder if I should change the reservoir tank?!
The coolant cap is too loose... it hasn’t even heated up much, haha
Let’s change it... distilled water + antifreeze = coolant
I’m going for a 5:5 mix~
I really appreciate the developers for their hard work.
These days, I’m using the coolant exchange equipment not just for coolant changes but also during regular maintenance.
The product is Prestone Red
I usually work with around 10 liters, but since the mechanic knows my car, it seems like he added a lot?! Haha
And the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has two coolant lines, main and sub, but today we’re just doing the main one.
Let’s drain it... slowly~
Hmm... it’s actually not as dirty as I thought, haha
I’ve done it...
Even with low mileage and not driving the car hard, it doesn’t seem very contaminated.
The thing is, the color of car fluids isn’t everything; if you’ve used it for about five years, changing it is the right answer...
Let’s check the vehicle’s condition while protecting the coolant lines and improving the cooling effect!
Let’s clean the surroundings thoroughly.
And as I head home... wow!
Personally, I think after checking the coolant state in the reservoir tank, if it looks dirty or if it’s been over five years or 100,000 kilometers, then it’s a good idea to change it.
By the way... I just crossed 30,000 miles, haha.
