Cybex Anoris T2: The Ultimate Toddler Car Seat

As a parent, safety is always the top priority when choosing a car seat. When I selected the Porsche Cayenne as our family car, I had the same mindset.

The car should provide a comfortable and safe ride for my beloved wife and child.

The color is beautiful too, right? By the way, I chose the "NEW Platinum White." While the best match for the beige interior of the Porsche Cayenne is Cybex's "Cozy Beige," I couldn't resist the allure of the Platinum White.

You see, right? The seat I currently use is the "Zerona T." So, I had some concerns about choosing the color for the Anoris T2... But seeing the NEW Platinum White at the Cybex store in Pangyo Hyundai Department Store made it easy to decide.

Harin seems to like it too. After installing it, I noticed the materials are resistant to dirt, and the part the child interacts with features breathable 3D mesh fabric, making it easy to maintain.

However, the Anoris T2 is recommended for toddlers aged 15 months and older, so it might be a bit early for Harin. Even though he is robust enough to be considered a 15-month-old, he still has some growing to do. Haha.

Let's start the review. At first glance, the design might seem a bit unusual. While most premium car seats utilize a 5-point harness system, the Cybex Anoris T2 does not. Instead, it features a "Airbag Shield" that resembles a thick belt.

This device serves as both a seatbelt and an airbag, providing top-tier safety. It looks easy to fasten and could be a great gift for children who typically find 5-point harnesses uncomfortable. We've all experienced that situation when a child cries due to a tight belt, and you have to loosen it or they manage to unbuckle themselves, which is incredibly dangerous.

With the Anoris T2, such dangerous situations are eliminated. You can easily secure the Airbag Shield with just one click. Plus, it ensures ample legroom, making it comfortable for the child. Unlike traditional car seats, you won't have to deal with twisted belts when getting in and out.

The thick Airbag Shield looks comfortable just by looking at it. Notably, the size of the Airbag Shield in the new T2 model has decreased by 25% compared to the previous model, the Anoris T1. This reduction allows for a more spacious car seat and offers 8 levels of depth adjustment for enhanced comfort.

The headrest is also deep and made from comfortable materials, providing a sense of spaciousness. You can adjust the backrest angle in three steps.

With the ample legroom, adjustable backrest angle, and the smaller Airbag Shield, I appreciated being able to make eye contact with my child through the rearview mirror while driving.

That's it for the review! However, the toddler-sized car seat is still a bit large for Harin. Since it's designed for forward-facing use, Cybex recommends it for children aged 15 months and older, so I might need to store it in our second car, the Tesla, for now.

By the way, choosing the Platinum White color turned out to be a stroke of genius.

The Anoris T2 is a long-term car seat that can be used until the child is 7 years old. So, even if I buy another car in the future, a bright white interior like the Tesla's will look elegant with it. A black interior with a white car seat combination would also look great.
