I have been eagerly anticipating the release of the Hyundai Avante N facelift , and it has finally launched.
Official contracts are currently being finalized.
The design of the Avante N facelift has been familiar for some time since it was revealed earlier, but now we know its price and the improvements compared to the previous Avante N.
, it naturally underwent some design changes!
The design of the Hyundai Avante N facelift has certainly changed, but you can still see some elements from the original Avante N.
As a model aimed at improving marketability, the overall look feels much more refined.
Personally, I believe the sleek and light image of the Avante N suits it better.
So, I would lean towards the design of the previous model. Haha.
However, the design of the Hyundai Avante N facelift feels much more complete.
The red accents at the bottom create a sense of unity across the front, sides, and rear, while also giving the car a visually lower appearance.
The wheel design still feels a bit awkward, perhaps because it hasn't fully matured yet.
I personally think that if I were to buy the Hyundai Avante N facelift , I would opt for the N Performance wheels.
The matte black wheels complement the car quite well.
Unfortunately, the interior design hasn't changed much.
The Hyundai emblem on the steering wheel has changed to black, and you can notice subtle changes in the shapes and colors of various control buttons.
The Avante CN7 already had features like a panoramic display, which are common in modern cars, so the interior didn't require significant updates. :)
The N Light bucket seats in the Ioniq 5 N include ventilation, so I hoped the N Light bucket seats in the Hyundai Avante N facelift
would also feature this function. However, unfortunately, this feature didn't make it into the facelift.
Significant improvements in convenience features
But it feels a bit out of place for a fun car...?
One of the key areas to watch in this Hyundai Avante N facelift is undoubtedly the improvement in convenience features.
By adding the N Hyundai SmartSense I option, you gain not only safety features like smart cruise control, highway driving assist, front collision avoidance assist (for oncoming traffic and intersection), and rear parking collision avoidance assist, but also
Electric parking brake (including auto hold), surround view monitor, and blind spot monitor are included as well.
Personally, I believe a hand-type parking brake suits a fun car better...
If you want to keep the smart cruise control feature, the electric parking brake naturally comes along.
The N Hyundai SmartSense I option is only available for DCT models, and it costs 1,290,000 KRW (approximately 1,000 USD).
I find it a bit disappointing that it's not available for manual models.
Some say that electronic parking brakes don't work well with manual transmissions,
but I wish they could at least add features like smart cruise control and highway driving assist.
If you find the N Hyundai SmartSense I option too expensive, consider at least opting for the N Hyundai SmartSense II option.
The N Hyundai SmartSense II option includes rear cross collision avoidance assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, and safe exit warning features, and it costs 690,000 KRW (approximately 525 USD).
Of course, if safety is a priority, including both options I and II would be the best choice, but considering the cost, it’s something to think about carefully. :)
Ultimately, the most important factor is the price!
The starting price for the Hyundai Avante N facelift manual model is 33,520,000 KRW (approximately 25,400 USD),
and the DCT automatic model starts at 35,600,000 KRW (approximately 27,300 USD).
I personally feel that the price hasn't increased significantly compared to the previous model.
However, while the previous model allowed for safety features to be added as options for the manual transmission, the facelift model does not offer any selections for manual.
I believe the previous model is clearly better for manual transmission.
Lastly, I’ll end this post by sharing a video of the Hyundai Avante N facelift test car that I previously watched. Thank you!
