Genesis has released the updated models of its large SUV, the GV80 and GV80 Coupe. The 2025 GV80 now features additional hydro G-bushings on the front suspension, which minimize road impact and vibration.

Genesis has enhanced the product appeal by applying Genesis-exclusive warning sounds to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as Parking Distance Warning (PDW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Blind-spot Collision Warning (BCW).

The Digital Key 2.0 feature, which uses ultra-wideband and near-field communication functions of smartphones to open and close doors, has been expanded to the rear doors. Additional safety features include a fire extinguisher and emergency tailgate lamp.

The 2025 GV80's starting price has increased by 150,000 won (approximately $113 USD) to 69.45 million won (approximately $52,400 USD), while the 2025 GV80 Coupe's price has been reduced by 650,000 won (approximately $490 USD) to 81.9 million won (approximately $61,800 USD).

Genesis has also unveiled the GV80 Black and GV80 Coupe Black editions. These models have received praise for not only embodying the Genesis Black concept but also for their meticulous attention to detail.

Genesis describes the new Black editions as representing luxury and sophistication with a timeless, classic appeal. The exterior features a complete black finish. Key elements such as the headlamp inner side bezel, radiator grille, bumper garnish, front emblem, DLO molding, roof rack, and rear bumper molding have all been changed to black.

The 22-inch glossy black wheels feature black-exclusive floating wheel caps and black brake calipers. The rear omits the GV80 and AWD emblems, replacing them with dark metallic GENESIS lettering.

The interior also features a black-exclusive design. Real wood garnish, leather seats, and seat quilting add to the uniqueness of the GV80 Black and GV80 Coupe Black. Suede interior materials, black aluminum speaker grilles, and black door steps have been applied. Even small details like interior buttons and the electronic shift dial (SBW) have been finished in Genesis Black.

The 27-inch integrated wide display features new welcome and goodbye animations, as well as a smart key design in Genesis Black. The starting price for the Genesis Black editions is set at 98.6 million won (approximately $74,400 USD) for the GV80 Black and 104.5 million won (approximately $78,800 USD) for the GV80 Coupe Black.
