Hyundai Motor Company fully unveiled the Ioniq 5 through its world premiere and shared detailed information via a press release. They announced that pre-orders for the Ioniq 5 Long Range trim will begin on the 25th, along with pricing information for both trims.

The price for the Ioniq 5 Long Range Exclusive trim starts in the low 50 million won range, while the Ioniq 5 Long Range Prestige trim is priced in the mid 50 million won range. These prices are before any electric vehicle tax benefits and are based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax. Additional information regarding the contract date and confirmed pricing for the standard model will be released later. Hyundai expects that with the inclusion of a 3 million won individual consumption tax benefit and a 100% electric vehicle subsidy of 12 million won (in Seoul) for 2021, the price will settle in the high 30 million won range.

As a pre-order benefit, Hyundai will provide free installation of an indoor V2L system to 500 randomly selected customers. Color options for both the interior and exterior are also significant, with nine exterior colors available, allowing for a variety of Ioniq 5 appearances. The colors include Atlas White, Gravity Gold Matte, Lucid Blue Pearl, Mystic Olive Green Pearl, Digital Teal Green Pearl, Phantom Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Calratic Gray Metallic, and Shooting Star Gray Matte. The Ioniq 5's battery differs between the Long Range and Standard models, with the Long Range version featuring a 72.6 kWh battery and the Standard model a 58 kWh battery. The Long Range rear-wheel drive model offers a maximum driving range of 254 to 267 miles on a single charge, as measured by Hyundai's research institute using domestic certification methods. With a 350 kW ultra-fast charger, the vehicle can charge to 80% in just 18 minutes, allowing for a 62-mile range with just 5 minutes of charging. This follows the European WLTP standards.
