Initial predictions suggested that the Model Y facelift would adopt the design from the Highland. The side profile resembles the existing model, but there are some updated details.
The rear now features newly designed taillights. The license plate sits on the bumper garnish, while only the emblem appears on the trunk panel. The interior options for the new Model Y have also seen some updates.
The options from the Model 3 Highland have all been incorporated. Starting with a 15.4-inch new monitor and ventilated seats, the vehicle also features button-style turn signals, a new steering wheel, and an 8-inch touch display for the second row.
The second row now includes an electric reclining feature, and folding the second-row seats completely creates a total cargo space of approximately 56.5 cubic feet. The Tesla Model Y also features a front trunk, or frunk.
However, it remains unclear whether the electric installation will be included. If you choose the improved Autopilot for approximately $3,400 or the Full Self-Driving for about $7,200, additional option costs apply, along with safety features based on European standards.
The exterior colors include Quick Silver, Ultra Red, and Glacial Blue, with the 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels as standard. The interior features a black base, with an optional black and white interior available for approximately $1,000.
The estimated driving range on a single charge for the Model Y facelift is approximately 296 miles for the Long Range version. The top speed reaches 130 mph, and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.
Detailed specifications for the new Model Y facelift are not yet available, and the Ministry of Environment certification has yet to be completed. The expected domestic launch price for the dual-motor version of the Model Y Juniper is approximately $54,000.
Tesla Korea has not yet announced the domestic delivery timeline for the new Model Y. However, they plan to sell the previous Model Y at a reduced price starting from approximately $35,000. The new Model Y is expected to compete with China's BYD in the domestic imported car market this year.
