2025 Hyundai Palisade's full redesign hybrid LX3 specifications have sparked interest after some details were released. The new Palisade will feature three powertrain options: a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo, a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, and a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo hybrid, including some information on fuel efficiency.

The Palisade's 3.5-liter gasoline turbo is expected to deliver around 280 horsepower and approximately 42 kgm of torque, with a fuel efficiency of 9.8 km/L. The 2.5-liter gasoline turbo is projected to produce about 290 horsepower and around 37 kgm of torque, achieving approximately 10.5 km/L in fuel efficiency.

The Palisade hybrid, featuring a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo hybrid, is expected to produce around 335 horsepower and approximately 46.5 kgm of torque, with a fuel efficiency of 14.5 km/L.

Reports indicate that the Ministry of Environment has not yet completed certification for the Palisade hybrid, suggesting it is still awaiting official approval. However, if it achieves a fuel efficiency of 14.5 km/L, it is likely to meet eco-friendly vehicle standards.

The new Palisade is expected to see a price increase. Currently, Hyundai and Kia price hybrid vehicles about 3 to 4 million won higher than their gasoline counterparts.

The 2.5-liter gasoline turbo hybrid is likely to see a price increase of about 5 to 6 million won due to improved power and fuel efficiency. The existing Palisade operates with two powertrains: a 3.8-liter gasoline and a 2.2-liter diesel.

The pricing for different trims shows that the Exclusive trim costs 38.96 million won, the LeBlanc trim is priced at 41.98 million won, the Prestige trim is at 46.24 million won, and the Calligraphy trim is set at 51.06 million won. Choosing a diesel engine for any trim adds an extra 1.48 million won.

Analysts predict that the full redesign of the Palisade will see a price increase of around 3 million won, while opting for the hybrid powertrain may result in an increase of about 5 to 6 million won compared to the base gasoline model. Therefore, the starting price for the redesigned Palisade is expected to range between approximately 47 million won and 60 million won.

Adding all options to the Palisade hybrid is expected to push the price beyond 70 million won. The release date for the redesigned Hyundai Palisade is projected for December of this year.

Hyundai is currently conducting pilot production of the new Palisade at its Ulsan plant. This pilot phase represents the final step before mass production, which is expected to begin soon.

The Palisade, which first debuted in January 2018, is launching its second-generation model after six years. In 2019, when the Palisade began its full-scale sales, it recorded over 52,000 units sold in the domestic market, followed by over 67,000 units in 2020. The sales remained strong in 2021, with around 52,000 units sold, maintaining an annual sales figure of over 50,000.

Afterward, sales dipped slightly, stabilizing around 40,000 units annually. With the new Palisade eliminating the diesel engine and adding a hybrid option, it is expected to drive even higher sales figures.
