Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the 2024 second-generation Range Rover Evoque facelift. The new Evoque's price has increased by about £5,000, starting from £40,080 (approximately $50,100 USD). The most significant changes in this Evoque facelift are the overall interior design modifications, onboard technology, and the characteristics of the applied materials.
First, the interior features an 11.4-inch floating curved infotainment touchscreen. It comes equipped with Amazon Alexa voice recognition and Jaguar Land Rover's Pivi Pro OS.
This screen controls all vehicle functions, and the removal of the auxiliary screen and interior temperature controls results in a simpler design.
The center console only houses the gear selector. They have improved quality by using materials similar to those in higher-end models and have made efforts towards environmental friendliness.
Going forward, they recommend a leather alternative designed by the Danish textile company Kvadrat.
Exterior changes include modifications to the front grille, slimmer headlights, and taillights. They have aligned the new Evoque with the Range Rover lineup, and the updated headlights feature Pixel LED and the latest matrix dimming technology.
The rear features new taillamps, and the rear bumper design has changed from the existing model's diffuser shape to a new style.
For powertrains, customers can choose between D165 and D200 diesel engines, and P200 and P250 gasoline engines. All-wheel drive and mild hybrid systems come standard on all powertrains except the D165 S manual version.
Options include R-Dynamic and Dynamic. The Evoque P300e plug-in hybrid continues, with adjustments made to the battery composition. It features a 197-horsepower 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine and a 12.2kWh battery in the rear wheels.
The system's total output is 305 horsepower. The pure electric driving range has increased by 1 mile (1.6 km) to 39 miles (62.7 km). The new Evoque facelift is scheduled for release in 2024.
Overall, it appears to be a minor facelift, which is said to be in preparation for the electrification process planned within the next few years. The all-electric Range Rover is set to launch in 2024, and the Velar and Evoque will be replaced by electric vehicles. The first model is expected in 2025.
