Kia's mid-size pickup truck, the Tazman, has surpassed 1,000 units sold within just three weeks. Last year, domestic pickup sales totaled over 13,000 units, averaging more than 1,100 units sold per month. The sales figures for the Kia Tazman now match the monthly average for domestic pickup trucks and single model sales.
About 75% of Tazman buyers appear to be individuals purchasing for leisure and outdoor use rather than commercial purposes. Among the trims, the X-Pro trim, specialized for off-road driving, accounted for one-third of total sales, while the four-wheel drive system option received significant consumer interest.
Recently, a rendering of the Tazman as an SUV has sparked interest. This Tazman SUV rendering raises expectations about its potential as a successor to the Mohave.

The rear image closely resembles the Tazman pickup truck and includes tail lamps featuring the Star Map signature lighting graphics. The KIA lettering is prominently displayed in the center of the tailgate.
Meanwhile, Kia has not officially announced plans for the Tazman SUV model, but there is growing anticipation for a successor to the Mohave, which has been discontinued.
In international markets, the Ford Ranger-based SUV Everest competes with the Tazman, and as many mid-size pickup models have SUV derivatives in their lineups, there is also high hope for the Tazman SUV. Kia's success with the Palisade Hybrid in the domestic market highlights the absence of a lineup in this segment.
