Hyundai Motor plans to implement bold updates for its flagship sedan, the Grandeur. Significant changes are expected, especially in the vehicle's interior and cabin. Reports indicate that Hyundai is preparing to equip the Grandeur with the state-of-the-art PLEOS infotainment system, which is anticipated to feature a central screen similar to Tesla's.

The PLEOS infotainment system from Hyundai is set to bring a new wave of technology to the vehicle. It is expected to be installed in the upgraded Grandeur facelift and will feature a large central touchscreen reminiscent of the Tesla Model S.

Designed for seamless connectivity and more intuitive control, PLEOS aims to deliver a next-generation user experience through improved voice recognition, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and enhanced digital integration.

Recent spy shots of the Grandeur facelift reveal noticeable design changes, particularly at the front end. The new grille design, sleeker LED daytime running lights, and updated bumper suggest a more luxurious appearance.

The second-generation plug-in hybrid system from Hyundai is expected to significantly enhance fuel efficiency, electric driving range, and output. Thanks to the newly developed high-density battery pack, the vehicle should be capable of traveling over 62 miles (100 km) on electric power alone.

The upgraded electric motor will include two units, with collaborative development starting in the second half of 2025 with major component suppliers. Instead of launching a pure electric vehicle, Hyundai plans to strategically invest in plug-in hybrids to meet eco-friendly demand while maintaining the convenience of internal combustion engines.

The new Grandeur plug-in hybrid, set to launch in 2025, is expected to bridge Hyundai's existing lineup with the era of pure electric vehicles. The 2026 Grandeur facelift will feature a PLEOS infotainment system similar to Tesla's, along with next-generation PHEV powertrain technology.
