Welcome to Gioca, your import car maintenance shop!

The owner of the Benz A35 AMG requested an oil change to improve the shifting experience.

When we think of the AMG A series, we often think of the A45. This vehicle uses the 8DCT transmission, while the A35 has been using the 7DCT system since before.

Both vehicles exhibit a slight jerk during low-speed shifts, which is not a defect but rather a characteristic of the model.

The owner, despite having low mileage, requested the change for a bit of improvement.

Additionally, we also changed the rear differential oil.

As part of regular maintenance, we also took care of the rear differential oil.

When changing the transmission oil in the Benz A35 AMG, there are two filters: an internal and an external one. If the vehicle has low mileage or is relatively new, we typically only change the external filter (the pressure filter). Conversely, if the vehicle has high mileage, we recommend changing both filters.

Today, we used a synthetic transmission oil (including Mercedes specifications) called 77 Lubricants Racing DCT and for the differential oil, we recommended a 75w90 viscosity from Copran.

In terms of oil types, we can upgrade to higher specs, but we currently have Motul DCTF for transmission oil and Motorex 75w90 for high-torque differential oil. What’s the difference? It comes down to price and specifications!

We will drain the oil starting tomorrow.

The transmission oil came out a bit dirtier than expected. While color isn't everything, it does give us a sense of the oil's condition.

The differential oil was just okay.

We found a slight amount of metal shavings.

Well-performing shops likely have accurate data values, which is why they are popular.

The work has been completed, and we conducted a quick test drive for the vehicles that had their transmission oil changed.

While I can't know exactly how the previous experience was, from my objective standpoint of having driven many similar models, this one feels good!
However, the unique characteristic of low-speed shifting still remains, though it has become smoother.
The upshifts and downshifts all feel good!

In conclusion, since the A35 AMG has a high-performance specification, the condition of the transmission and differential oils may not appear as good as expected. If you can, consider managing them a bit earlier.

I hope the owners are satisfied with this!

It seems that all the oils have been well-managed, so now it's time for the Benz A35 AMG to have some fun!

I hope to see you again in the future!
