Please come visit us often~
Due to the brake pad wear warning light,
the owner of the Mercedes CLS visited us,
While the Mercedes alerts you,
it doesn’t specify if it’s the front or rear.
So we needed to check, and since this vehicle had its front done previously, it was naturally the rear
Normally, we only replace the brake pads,
However, the CLS has around 160,000 miles on it and
the disc condition isn’t great, so we decided to replace them together~
We already diagnosed this previously, haha.
Regular customers have their maintenance history saved, which allows us to service their vehicles more quickly and accurately.
This is a significant advantage.
After the work, let’s take a look at the brake disc pads we removed.
We’ll start with the rear brake pads.
The rear brake pads show signs of abnormal wear but…
The sensor reacted and triggered the warning light.
The condition of the disc shows some wear as well,
Specifically, the edge of the disc…
This indicates the sensor responded ahead of time.
Therefore, we recommended replacing the disc as well.
These worn discs
become thinner over time,
which affects safety and braking performance negatively.
Keep that in mind.
We will proceed with the replacement now.
Since we need to work on the rear, we’ll turn off the electronic parking system
We’ll enter brake pad replacement mode and start.
Here are the products we will use.
We prepared Brembo for the brake disc.
For the Mercedes CLS and C / E / S / GLC classes, we only use this product for the latest discs.
We also use ATE occasionally, but prices have gone up lately.
The reason I recommend this one is!?
There are many cost-effective brands besides Brembo,
but due to the quality of the hub attachment, there aren’t many options for disc selection yet.
Since this is a Mercedes CLS!!
I recommend a ceramic material brake pad with low noise, the Würth brand.
I used a Brembo set for the front, but this is better for the rear.
I’ve worked on countless vehicles' brakes, and while good stopping power is important,
noise, like squeaking sounds, is something you want to avoid!
That’s why I used this product for you.
Is there such a thing as a 100% noise-free brake pad?!
We’ll replace the sensor that alerts the brake warning light and the disc fixing bolts with new ones.
The pins at the ends of the pads need to be secured properly.
If they’re incorrectly positioned, it can lead to broken pins,
which can cause rattling noises.
We will perform the same procedure for the passenger side.
The manufacturer of the rear caliper is TRW.
The installation time is about 30 minutes.
Now, let’s put the wheel and tires back on.
Finish by tightening everything with a torque wrench!

Release the brake pad replacement mode
Take a certification photo.
We’ll do it all in one go~
This is how we ensure everything is truly finished!
We’ve done everything to ensure you can drive it immediately without any issues.
I paid extra attention while working on it..
I’m curious if you were satisfied.. haha.;
Additionally, during the test drive, the engine vibrations were quite severe.
Upon checking, it’s indeed the engine and transmission mounts.
You may need to have that serviced soon~
However, since it’s a 4MATIC, it might come with some costs, so
please think it over and contact us!
Though they are simple consumables,
Mercedes and imported cars can be tricky, right?! They are different, right?!
Thank you!~
