Many vehicle owners seek private import car repair shops due to the high prices at service centers. While I can’t provide an exact estimate, I’ve heard that private shops tend to be cheaper. They often use synthetic oil instead of regular oil, which allows for better specifications. However, the issue remains that there aren’t many specialized shops available yet, leaving many people unsure about where to go.

These days, if you search blogs or video resources, you’ll find detailed information that can guide you! Just reach out to us after reviewing, and we’ll provide the same service.

For those interested?! Reading this carefully is a must!

A reliable place for Volvo engine oil and transmission oil!

From the composition of imported car consumables to the replacement process, this is a Volvo XC60 D5.

All content in this post is based on the actual work process, photos, and writing that I completed. It includes promotional and informational content.

I prohibit unauthorized use of images and links.

01. Introducing the components

The Volvo XC60 D5 features a diesel engine and an Aisin transmission. I recommend oil based on specifications and viscosity, including filters.

The engine oil has a viscosity of 0W20 and meets the C5 standard, including VCC RBSO-2AE specifications.

The complete set includes the air cleaner and oil filter.

I use high-performance transmission oil, MOTUL, which meets the Aisin transmission specifications.

Imported vehicle oils often have long replacement cycles set by manufacturers, which may not align with practical use.

02. Explanation of the work process

I start by draining the engine oil.
I aim for efficiency while minimizing time, considering the entire process!

I replace the oil filter,

The cartridge style is located at the bottom of the engine.

I thoroughly clean the housing cup and replace the internal filter and O-ring.

I install it using a dedicated cap holder and tools.

This method offers more precision and cleanliness than typical service centers!

I then drain the transmission oil.

This requires loosening the bolts a couple of times to fully drain it.
The first bolt is for leveling, followed by the main bolt.

It’s rare to see a clean one.

The recommended replacement cycle is around 70,000 kilometers, but many people come in after exceeding that limit.

First, I drain the transmission oil as much as possible.

I also replace the air cleaner.

This component filters out foreign substances from the incoming air, allowing only clean air into the engine. The recommended replacement cycle is over 30,000 kilometers, but even after just 10,000 kilometers, it gets dirty quickly.;

It’s best to perform this replacement whenever you change the engine oil.

The aftermarket product costs about 20,000 to 30,000 won (approximately $15 to $23 USD), but considering engine protection, output, and fuel efficiency, replacing this filter is definitely worth it.

I then inject the engine oil.

The Volvo XC60 and all other models are sensitive to oil quantity, so it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the manual and check the actual amount using gauges and scanners to achieve accurate leveling.

I check the drained transmission oil.

The color and quantity indicate that the XC60 has received a proper oil change.

During the process, I refill a full bottle of washer fluid!

I then drain the transmission oil again.
The process involves two rounds of injection and drainage as standard practice.
You can already see the oil color improving, right?! The transparency is gradually increasing, and the oil is taking on its characteristic red color.

Increasing the number of changes to three or four will naturally improve the oil condition, but we must also consider cost-effectiveness. Thus, two rounds with MOTUL oil specifications are sufficient!
I then level the oil again and finish up.

03. Resetting the engine oil and confirming the work
After completing the replacement process, I check the work process and warning lights using a scanner.

I will record the vehicle information and any special notes.

While it’s difficult to check the oil quantity for Volvo, I monitor it as much as possible using the scanner.

The service cycle is similar to other vehicles, set at 360 days, which is five days shorter than the standard 365 days, with a mileage of 15,000 kilometers.

The owner asked me to check the tire pressure, so I re-inflated it and pressed reset.

The transmission oil replacement cycle doesn’t require a separate reset!

04. Wrapping up and releasing the vehicle!
After a brief test drive, I confirmed that there were no issues and completed the work!

The total time taken was about one hour to one and a half hours.

This wasn’t just a simple engine oil and transmission oil change; I completed the process with quality products!

I have posted work records for various Volvo models, and I am satisfied with the results! This was the XC60 D5.

Taking photos while working is not easy, and writing this record separately takes time.

I work hard to provide this information before your visit!

I sincerely thank our customers for trusting us and visiting, and that concludes today’s post.
I hope you look forward to the next post!
That’s it!
