Volkswagen Jetta Diesel,
equipped with a 2.0 TDI engine
Golf, Passat, Tiguan, and
many other Volkswagen vehicles
commonly use this engine.
How good is it..
Its popularity continues even now!
To the Volkswagen Jetta owner,
Initially after purchase, you drove a lot,
but now you're driving about 4,350 miles (7,000 km) per year?!
You're approaching 93,200 miles (150,000 km).
In this case, there's a saying:
"Regular oil changes help your car last longer"
Yes, that's right. If you neglect it,
it'll come back as a big repair bill later.
Volkswagen's manual recommends changing oil
every year or 9,300 miles (15,000 km), whichever comes first.
Please at least follow this guideline~

First, we'll change the air cleaner.
This filter should always be replaced with the engine oil,
not separately, but always included~
Service centers typically recommend changing it
after about 24,900 miles (40,000 km),
but using a paper filter air cleaner
for that long
honestly doesn't match reality..
If you see contamination after a year of use,
it's best to replace it immediately.
We drain the oil while performing an inspection
For Volkswagen 2.0 TDI models,
after 62,100 miles (100,000 km), it's time to replace the timing belt
and oil leaks frequently occur at certain points!
Fortunately, this vehicle
had work done once before reaching 62,100 miles (100,000 km)
So we just checked it..
We need to plan for the second replacement timing~
While doing this, we also check basic things like air pressure,
tire tread wear, etc.
We also check the mileage of simple consumables
We replace the oil filter.
The housing cap is located at the bottom
and there's usually a lot of debris~
Unlike other car models,
the cap usage is slightly different
We need to pay extra attention
when replacing the O-ring and installing it
We use a torque wrench, a special tightening tool, for installation
and always clean the surrounding area.
We add engine oil.
It's synthetic oil, 5W30 viscosity, which is ideal
for all four seasons throughout the year
and meets Volkswagen's VW 504 507 specifications
This oil is recommended by shops{vi714
