In this video, we bring you the latest news about new cars from Audi Korea, which has been in a state of suspension since the second quarter of this year.
On the 26th, Audi Korea showcased the 'The New A5 45 TFSI Quattro' in the domestic market.
Audi aims to recover from this year's sluggish sales by launching the Q7 45 TFSI Quattro for pre-order and releasing the A3 and A6 models within the year.
An Audi Korea representative stated, “The 'The New A5 45 TFSI Quattro' combines sporty design with the comfort of a sedan,” and added
“We will kickstart sales in the domestic market with this launch.”
The vehicle will be available in three lineups: Sportback, Coupe, and Cabriolet.
However, even though Audi has resumed sales, a new challenge emerged before the launch of the New A5. On the 20th, the Ministry of Environment announced that Audi's 'A6' models and two types of 'A7' vehicles had illegally manipulated the amount of urea injection while operating on highways due to a shortage of urea in diesel vehicles.
This manipulation (arbitrary setting) has raised concerns, and it seems necessary to monitor the situation closely.
Since the diesel gate incident, the delay in diesel vehicle sales has been attributed not only to strengthened certification processes but also to a higher preference for gasoline vehicles. Audi continues to release and plan gasoline models only.
The new A6, set for official release in the fourth quarter, will also focus on gasoline rather than diesel.
In other words, all lineups of the new Audi A5 45 TFSI Quattro come equipped with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharged (TFSI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 252 horsepower and a peak torque of 27.8 lb-ft, with a top speed of 130 mph.
The Quattro all-wheel-drive system enhances performance, achieving 0 to 60 mph in just 6.0 seconds for the Sportback model.
The fuel efficiency is also commendable, with a combined mileage ranging from 22.8 to 23.6 mpg, depending on the trim.
When it comes to design, Audi is hard to overlook. The 20-inch 5-arm rotor design wheels convey a robust image, and
the new A5 showcases Audi's signature sleek and futuristic exterior design even more effectively.
For convenience features, the vehicle includes a head-up display, Audi virtual cockpit, smartphone interface, and ambient lighting package as standard.
The domestic selling prices for 'The New Audi A5 45 TFSI Quattro' are set at 62,374 USD for the Sportback, 63,845 USD for the Coupe, and 72,680 USD for the Cabriolet.
