Hello.
I’m Uniji, an automotive influencer.
Porsche has produced a single unit of the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, aimed at the Southeast Asian market. This exceptional vehicle features an innovative paint technique that changes color based on the angle of light, receiving significant attention due to its new design developed over the course of a year.
Inspired by jade, this unique color
This special vehicle, crafted through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, was commissioned by the Asian branch, with the color itself serving as the vehicle's main attraction.
The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade draws inspiration from jade, which symbolizes nobility, perfection, eternal happiness, and immortality in Chinese culture. Beyond a simple color, it applies chromaflare paint technology that allows the hue to shift, creating a chameleon-like allure that changes appearance depending on the angle.
To create this vehicle, Porsche blended two types of chromaflare paint: one is Urban Bamboo, a bright green with gold tones, and the other is Shifting Carbon, a dark gray mixed with black and blue tones. Both colors contain very fine aluminum particles, which have a matte reflective layer at the center, surrounded by a glass-like layer, reflecting various colors depending on the light. This special composition gives the vehicle's exterior a dazzling yet luxurious feel, with colors that change dramatically in different lighting.
After a year of development and 80 hours of manual painting
Porsche invested about a year and considerable effort to complete this paint job. After developing color samples, they conducted the final painting entirely by hand, taking a total of 80 hours. The process of implementing this unique color on the actual vehicle was extremely complex and delicate. The Celestial Jade, completed with such time and effort, boasts a special quality that sets it apart from ordinary vehicles.
Iconic design elements
The Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade enhances its uniqueness not only through color but also with intricate design details. Notable features include a logo inspired by 'Longma,' a symbol of auspiciousness with the head of a dragon and the body of a horse from Chinese mythology, engraved on the door sills and headrests. Additionally, this logo projects light onto the ground beneath the side mirrors when the doors open. These small details further highlight the vehicle's rarity.
Scheduled for Southeast Asia tour and charity auction
After its debut in Singapore, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will tour various regions in Southeast Asia. Additionally, this vehicle is set to be auctioned in 2025, with all proceeds going to charity.
If Porsche continues to introduce models with such innovative paint techniques and unique design elements, we can expect further revolutionary advancements in the electric vehicle market. The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, born from the fusion of Porsche's technology and craftsmanship, holds great promise for the future.
