Hello.
I'm Uniji, an automotive influencer.
The Kia Carnival, known for its spacious interior and a variety of convenient features, ranks as the most popular large recreational vehicle in the domestic automotive market. The popularity of the Kia Carnival didn’t emerge overnight; since its initial launch in 1998, it has undergone continuous updates, securing a diverse customer base for various uses such as camping, family outings, and business needs. Today, it is truly a perfect choice for families.
The current fourth-generation Carnival offers a range of powertrains, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid options, expanding customer choices. Notably, the Kia Carnival Hybrid emphasizes fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness, utilizing both gasoline and an electric motor to deliver superior fuel economy while boasting impressive performance. The Carnival Hybrid maintains the characteristics of a long-distance family vehicle while significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Additionally, the starting price for the Carnival Hybrid is relatively affordable, beginning at 4,006,000 KRW (approximately $3,000 USD) for the nine-passenger Prestige trim, making it a reasonable option for large families or those who often travel long distances.
Meanwhile, Kia has not stopped there; they recently unveiled the '2025 Kia Carnival,' a model with updated features and have officially begun sales. The refreshed Kia Carnival enhances lane-keeping performance with the Lane Following Assist (LFA) 2 across all trims, improves steering wheel grip detection using static sensors, and introduces a new steering wheel design, all aimed at boosting its appeal.
Moreover, features that were previously optional, such as Kia's Digital Key 2 and touch-type outside door handles, have now become standard from the Signature trim, significantly improving customer satisfaction. The highest trim, the Gravity trim, now offers the option of a Snow White Pearl exterior color, while the Noblesse trim adds Cotton Beige and Navy Gray interior color options, broadening customer choices.
Despite these enhancements, the prices for the 2025 Carnival have only increased by 800,000 KRW to 1,110,000 KRW (approximately $600 USD to $850 USD). The prices for the nine-passenger trims are as follows: 3.5 Gasoline Prestige at 35,510,000 KRW (about $26,600 USD), Noblesse at 39,910,000 KRW (about $30,000 USD), Signature at 43,560,000 KRW (about $32,700 USD), 2.2 Diesel Prestige at 37,460,000 KRW (about $28,000 USD), Noblesse at 41,860,000 KRW (about $31,400 USD), Signature at 45,510,000 KRW (about $34,200 USD), and 1.6 Turbo Hybrid Noblesse at 47,000,000 KRW (about $35,200 USD), Signature at 50,860,000 KRW (about $38,000 USD). These prices make it relatively easy to purchase a family car.
Additionally, the design-focused Gravity trim can be selected for an additional cost of 1,030,000 KRW (about $770 USD) for the nine-passenger configuration or 820,000 KRW (about $620 USD) for the seven-passenger configuration. This attractive Gravity design allows for a unique experience even among the same Carnival models, which might be a dream come true for many fathers.
A Kia representative stated, "The Carnival has received immense love from various customers due to its unique brand image and product quality." They added, "With the 2025 model, we have added safety and convenience features that customers prefer, ensuring that we continue to provide differentiated value as the leading recreational vehicle (RV) in Korea." This indicates that interest in the Kia Carnival is expected to grow even further.
