The 7th generation Grandeur, fully revamped and launched in late 2022,
GN7 'The All-New Grandeur' incorporates the iconic elements of its predecessor while showcasing a distinctive luxury appeal.
It reflects Hyundai Motor's flagship sedan design and identity.
Hyundai's signature straight headlamp design, which originated from the Staria, has been further refined and stylishly applied to the Grandeur.
The fully revamped model has finally established itself as Hyundai's flagship sedan, standing out with a unique appeal compared to Hyundai's luxury brand Genesis.
Today, it continues to enjoy steady demand in the automotive market.
However, since early 2023, shortly after its launch, frequent defects and quality issues arose.
Despite this, the new Grandeur sold over 110,000 units throughout 2023, demonstrating remarkable popularity.
Last year, the Hyundai Grandeur was the only model in the domestic automotive market to sell over 100,000 units, significantly outpacing the second-place Sorento, which sold 85,811 units.
Meanwhile, over 55% of the total sales of the new Grandeur, which sold over 100,000 units last year, came from the 'Grandeur Hybrid,' highlighting consumer preferences.
The Grandeur Hybrid features a Smartstream 1.6 Turbo hybrid gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 230 horsepower and a torque of 35.7 kgf·m, providing impressive performance.
The Grandeur Hybrid achieves a combined fuel efficiency of 18 km per liter with 18-inch wheels, while the fuel efficiency drops to 16.7 km per liter with 19-inch wheels.
This significant difference in fuel economy leads most consumers to prefer the 18-inch option over the 19-inch when purchasing the Grandeur Hybrid.
The Grandeur Hybrid leverages advanced hybrid technology to enhance driving performance using its drive motor. The 'E-Motion Drive' technology ensures a smooth ride over uneven surfaces, including speed bumps.
The 'E-Comfort Drive' technology reduces vibrations, while the 'E-Dynamic Drive' technology maintains stable performance during rapid acceleration and cornering, differentiating the new Grandeur Hybrid from its predecessor.
The Grandeur Hybrid has also gained immense popularity in the used car market, standing out as the top-selling hybrid passenger car model.
The 2024 Grandeur Hybrid starts at approximately 3,200,000 KRW (about 2,400 USD) and the top-tier Galligraphy trim begins at around 3,600,000 KRW (about 2,700 USD), making it relatively affordable.
