The All-New Santa Fe Hybrid: Affordable Eco-Friendly SUV Hits the Market!

Last August, Hyundai launched the new medium-sized SUV, the Santa Fe, which includes

both gasoline and hybrid models.

With the release of the new model, the price of the all-new Santa Fe was revealed. Unlike the gasoline model, the hybrid model's price was disclosed before tax incentives

caused confusion among consumers.

However, following the completion of the eco-friendly vehicle certification, the price after tax incentives was recently

made public, generating buzz.

The price after tax incentives for the new Santa Fe Hybrid 2WD starts at 38,880,000 KRW (approximately 29,000 USD), while the pre-incentive price stands at 40,310,000 KRW (about 30,000 USD), making it roughly 1,500,000 KRW (around 1,100 USD) cheaper. This brings the price of the Santa Fe Hybrid down to the high 30,000,000 KRW range (about 28,000 USD).

The new Santa Fe Hybrid 2WD Exclusive starts at 38,880,000 KRW (approximately 29,000 USD), while the Prestige model is priced at 41,360,000 KRW (about 31,000 USD), and the Calligraphy model at 46,210,000 KRW (around 34,000 USD).

However, the new Santa Fe Hybrid AWD, which does not qualify for tax incentives, is priced the same as previously announced at 42,540,000 KRW (about 32,000 USD) for the Exclusive model, 45,020,000 KRW (approximately 34,000 USD) for Prestige, and 50,360,000 KRW (around 37,000 USD).

The AWD model offers more options than the Santa Fe Hybrid 2WD, but buyers need to forgo the AWD and various features to enjoy fuel efficiency and tax benefits, which is a clear drawback.

Despite this, many consumers are expected to choose the Santa Fe Hybrid 2WD for its economic advantages.

The newly launched Santa Fe Hybrid features a combination of a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine and an electric motor, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 235 horsepower and a torque of 37.4 kg.m.

The new Santa Fe Hybrid 2WD achieves fuel efficiency ratings of 16.3 km/l in the city, 14.6 km/l on the highway, and a combined rating of 15.5 km/l.

In addition, the Santa Fe Hybrid incorporates features such as e-Dynamic Drive, e-Comfort Drive, congestion-specific control, hybrid-exclusive AVN content, smart regenerative braking mode, and paddle regenerative braking mode, enhancing its driving performance.

Moreover, the new Santa Fe includes Hyundai's latest driver assistance systems, such as Lane Keeping Assist 2 and navigation-based smart cruise control, ensuring a safer driving experience.

The new Santa Fe offers a spacious interior with a large tailgate and a variety of convenience and infotainment features, providing customers with a fresh spatial experience.

The redesigned Santa Fe, which has improved design, space, and convenience, now also offers economic benefits through hybrid tax incentives, establishing itself as a competitive medium-sized SUV.

With the official launch of the Santa Fe Hybrid approaching, consumer anticipation is rising.

The first deliveries of the new Santa Fe Hybrid are set to begin in mid-October.
