Currently, Hyundai's premium brand Genesis is developing its flagship

The Genesis GV90 SUV, and due to the recent success of the GV80 facelift and GV80 coupe,

expectations for the still-in-development GV90 are rising.

However, since a test vehicle presumed to be the GV90 was spotted overseas in August, no significant test news has emerged,

increasing curiosity about the vehicle.

Additionally, this test vehicle likely features an extended body based on the existing GV80, providing ample space in both the third-row seating and the trunk.

These expectations allow enthusiasts to indirectly experience various "new car renderings" before the actual launch, but since the vehicle remains in the test mule stage,

the renderings only provide a limited preview of what to expect.

The GV90's design is expected to feature a coupe-like silhouette similar to the GV80 coupe, showcasing attractive character lines and indicating a bold departure from previous expectations.

In addition to exterior changes, we anticipate significant updates to the interior design of the GV90.

The vehicle will likely incorporate advanced technologies from Hyundai, including the OLED display found in the GV80.

Among these advancements is the inclusion of Level 3 autonomous driving technology, with the HDP function currently available only in the Genesis G90 and EV9. This technology is also set to debut in the upcoming 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 7.

Meanwhile, the Genesis GV90 will be built on the next-generation dedicated electric vehicle platform known as 'eM.'

This platform differs from the existing 'E-GMP' dedicated electric vehicle platform used by the Hyundai Group.

The GV90 will mark the beginning of a new generation of Genesis electric vehicle models.

This advancement enables a maximum battery capacity of 113 kWh, allowing for a driving range of over 500 miles (approximately 800 km) on a single charge.

As a result, the Genesis GV90 will offer competitive product appeal and pricing in the flagship electric SUV market.

Therefore, the price of the Genesis GV90 is expected to start in the low $80,000 range and could reach the high $90,000 range.

Additionally, the GV90 will compete with models like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Land Rover Range Rover, and Bentley Bentayga, targeting premium full-size SUVs.

This positioning highlights the Genesis brand's future potential.

Of course, Genesis aims to compete not only on price but also by ensuring equivalent product quality, which involves ongoing internal testing.

Among these efforts, the already-known coach doors represent a technology synonymous with Rolls-Royce, and Hyundai is reportedly working to integrate this feature into the GV90.

Finally, Genesis plans to begin production of the GV90 by the end of 2025, with an official reveal expected in early 2026 due to internal circumstances.
