Kia will soon retire the K7 name.

The successor to the K7, codenamed GL3, will officially be named the K8.

Recently, the exterior design has been revealed, generating significant buzz.

We have seen a wide range of opinions on the K8's exterior design.

The K8, featuring the newly updated Kia emblem, showcases significant changes beyond just the emblem itself.

Kia mentioned that the K8's teaser was inspired by diamonds, capturing their brilliance in the video.

​

Upon closer inspection, you can see gem-like patterns on the vehicle.

​

In addition, while the grill size has increased, the headlamp size has been slightly reduced.

​

Thanks to advancements in LED headlamp technology, modern designs no longer require the large spaces that earlier LED headlamps needed for light amplification.

​

Consequently, the design of the vehicle's headlamps has evolved as well.

​

While the headlamps do not appear to be adjustable based on the steering direction in this new model, Kia may include that feature in future updates.

Although technically feasible, it seems they will reserve this functionality for later model years.

K8 headlamps

Personally, I find the rear design of the K8 to be the most appealing.

​

The bold tail lamp design conveys a sporty yet robust impression.

​

Additionally, the unique Y-shaped design extends to the rear fender, creating a seamless line from the body to the trunk.

This design has led to the saying that it starts and ends with chrome.

I am eagerly awaiting the K8's interior, which I have envisioned in my dreams.
