Revving Up: New Rexton Sports & Khan Takes Pickup Trucks to the Next Level!

The 'New Rexton Sports & Khan' has returned with a more powerful presence.

Ssangyong Motor announced on the 4th that it will launch the 'New Rexton Sports & Khan,' a true Korean pickup that will lead the domestic pickup market through another overwhelming evolution in 2022.

The new Rexton Sports & Khan showcases a completed authentic Korean pickup style with its 'Go Tough' design concept introduced last April.

It enhances the powertrain of the Sports & Khan and applies an advanced connected car system for the first time in a domestic pickup model.

Additionally, it features 16 cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), providing convenience and safety that overwhelmingly surpasses imported competitors.

The new Rexton Sports & Khan includes nine ADAS features from the previous model, such as emergency braking assist, forward collision warning, smart high beam, front parking assist warning, lane departure warning, and more.

In addition, it incorporates seven new safety technologies like central lane-keeping assist, lane-keeping assist, rear-side collision assist, rear-side approach collision prevention assist, safe exit warning, safe distance warning, and inattentive driving warning.

The upgraded 2.2 LET diesel engine and the Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission create an optimal combination, delivering a maximum output of 202 horsepower and a peak torque of 45.0 kg.m, which represent improvements of 8% and 5%, respectively.

This allows drivers to utilize maximum torque in their daily driving and enhances fuel efficiency.

Ssangyong Motors will also introduce a special model called 'Expedition,' featuring upgraded interior and exterior styling, premium convenience features, and safety specifications for customers seeking a distinct and refined experience.

The selling prices of the New Rexton Sports & Khan are as follows:

Wild: 25,190,000 KRW (approximately 19,000 USD)

Prestige: 30,750,000 KRW (approximately 23,000 USD)

Noblesse: 34,500,000 KRW (approximately 25,800 USD)

Expedition: 37,400,000 KRW (approximately 28,000 USD)

The Khan model prices are as follows:

Wild: 29,900,000 KRW (approximately 22,000 USD)

Prestige: 33,050,000 KRW (approximately 24,800 USD)

Noblesse: 37,250,000 KRW (approximately 28,000 USD)

Expedition: 39,850,000 KRW (approximately 29,800 USD)
