The Genesis GV80 2022: Comfort, Safety, and Style All in One!

Genesis has launched the 2022 model of the Genesis GV80 on the 30th, officially beginning sales.

The 2022 Genesis GV80 features a new six-seat model alongside the existing five- and seven-seat options, enhancing convenience.

The previous GV80 only offered five- and seven-seat models, but now it introduces a six-seat version with independent second-row seats, increasing the choices available.

The six-seat rear configuration includes two independent seats that provide a better ride quality compared to a sofa-style layout.

The rear seats feature the same garnish as the front row, along with a wireless charging system, cup holders, and storage compartments.

The 2022 Genesis GV80 features Ergo Motion seats in the front passenger area that use airbags to create comfort and optimal seating during drives,

and it also provides dual monitors in the rear seats for enjoying various content.

Additionally, the Genesis GV80 2022 includes an after-blow feature that activates the fan 30 minutes after the engine is turned off to dry the air conditioning system,

helping to reduce odors and bacteria in the cabin.

Alongside this, the front mono-block brake calipers have been expanded to the gasoline 2.5 turbo and 3.0 diesel models, which grip the brake pads tightly to enhance stopping power.

In the event of an accident while driving, if the driver temporarily loses control of the Genesis GV80 2022 after a primary collision, the vehicle will automatically brake to prevent a secondary accident, enhancing safety with its multi-collision prevention automatic braking system.

The 12.3-inch cluster and head-up display also come with a system that allows for wireless updates.

This system not only updates the navigation wirelessly but also automatically updates new cluster themes and head-up display features wirelessly,

improving the accuracy of navigation and enhancing driving convenience.

The new electric side steps available as a customization option provide a luxurious entry experience,

while the trailer hitch enhances outdoor experiences with the large SUV.

The exterior of the Genesis GV80 2022 now includes Mauna Red and Barossa Burgundy (glossy/matte).

The interior adds an urban brown/vanilla beige two-tone color to the standard design model.

The gasoline 2.5 turbo model starts at 61,360,000 KRW (approximately 46,000 USD).

The gasoline 3.5 turbo model starts at 66,950,000 KRW (approximately 49,800 USD).

The diesel 3.0 model starts at 65,280,000 KRW (approximately 48,800 USD).

This year, Genesis has also entered the European and Chinese markets in the first half of the year, and they expect the GV80 to play a significant role in targeting the local premium market.

Particularly, as the Hyundai Motor Group continues to face challenges in the Chinese market, the performance of the Genesis brand appears to be crucial.
