Battle of the Titans: BMW X7 vs. Mercedes GLS – Which SUV Reigns Supreme?

The BMW X7, the flagship SUV model from BMW.

Since its facelift in the second half of 2022,

it has gained immense popularity thanks to its upgraded design and enhanced options.

Many potential buyers are torn between it and the competing Mercedes-Benz GLS model.

Today, we will compare these two iconic German flagship SUV models and share various insights about the X7.

The 2023 BMW X7 first debuted four years ago,

drawing attention with its overwhelming size and majestic design.

The introduction of this German-imported SUV, capable of accommodating four golfers, has made it a popular choice among many golf enthusiasts.

In fact, the X7's previous generation design did not evoke any sense of being outdated; it presented a visually satisfying appearance.

However, the facelift introduced a grander grille and a sleek combination of thin, sharp dual-line DRLs and headlights, earning praise for its refined aesthetic.

Last winter, I had the opportunity to test drive it on a snowy day,

and the driving performance, along with its impressive size and design, provided a truly satisfying experience.

I know three BMW X7 owners who have all experienced the ample space and flagship model quality firsthand,

and they made their final choice based on that experience.

While the X5, a step below the X7, also garners high interest as a best-selling vehicle,

people often conclude that comparing it to the X7 in terms of space or design is simply not possible.

The powertrain options include a gasoline 40i, a diesel 40d,

and the M Performance model, the M60i.

For those who drive long distances, I recommend the 40d, while those seeking ample performance and speed should consider the M60i.

However, most buyers overwhelmingly choose the 40i model.

The 22-inch double-spoke 913M wheels applied to the MSP model provide a stable balance for the vehicle while enhancing its sporty design.

The exterior color of this model is gray, which matches well with the midnight gray wheel color.
