Unleashing the Beast: A Test Drive of the All-New BMW M5

I test-drove the ALL-NEW BMW M5.

The sixth generation BMW M5 impresses with its sleek design and

exhilarating performance that captivates male drivers.

The exterior showcases the M series design that grabs attention.

The M-specific double strut kidney grille, M air breathers,

M side mirrors, and M carbon roof all contribute to its striking aesthetic.

The more you look at it, the more it excites you.

The strong character line on the side expresses the intensity of the M series.

The sexy blue color adds to its allure... After test-driving many cars, I believe the M series truly stirs a man's heart.

At the rear, the M-specific twin tailpipes hint at a powerful exhaust sound.

It feels like it could unleash an intense roar at any moment.

The trunk features an M rear spoiler, adding a sleek touch.

The M compound brakes and M-specific wheel combination optimize the driving experience of the BMW M5.

It's a perfect match for its intense performance.

I personally placed golf bags in the trunk and found that two fit comfortably at an angle.

To fit three golf bags, lay two down to save height and place one on top.

To fit four golf bags, you'll need to lay them out in two layers...

You must remove the driver and wood clubs to fit them lengthwise.

The BMW M5 boasts an impressive output of 608 horsepower and a maximum torque of 76.5 lb-ft.

It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, but honestly, it's hard to find a place to fully press the accelerator unless you're on an open highway.

However, owning an M series car brings an exhilarating thrill just by having it.

The interior features an M-specific design that kept me excited throughout the test drive.

And the M-specific instrument display adds to the thrill~

Can you see the speedometer going up to 330 km/h?

Without a speed limit, I would love to challenge that number with the BMW M5's engine. Haha.

The M-specific multifunction seats envelop the driver’s body, providing a comfortable seating experience.

You can even choose a tight setting for high-speed driving through the adjustments.

The M-specific design is simply beautiful, isn’t it? The leather is merino leather.

The M-specific gear shift selector enhances the driving pleasure.

The 8-speed M Steptronic with drive logic makes you realize that this is indeed a BMW M5.

At first, I was confused about shifting gears,

but pushing the gear left puts it in N, lifting it up to the left puts it in R,

and shifting it to the right selects D mode.

You can control the M sports exhaust system using the button located below the gear lever to open and close the flaps, allowing you to choose between intense and quiet exhaust sounds depending on the situation.

The stitching throughout enhances the luxury feel of the interior.

The M series seems to dominate not only in performance but also in design.

During the test drive, every time I pressed the accelerator, it felt like my body was floating.

If the BMW M3 I test-drove in the past felt raw, the BMW M5 offers comfort and luxury while refusing to compromise on speed.

It feels gentlemanly yet intense enough to make a statement.

Many people surprisingly choose the sixth-generation BMW M5 as a family car due to its spacious second-row seating.

When you set the engine, steering wheel, and suspension to the lowest settings in driving mode, it feels akin to the BMW M540i.

The ability to switch from a family car to a dynamic driving mode that truly enjoys speed is one of the advantages of the BMW M5.

The price of the BMW M5 is around 150 million won, which is approximately 112,500 USD.

I asked Mr. Noh Yong-ho from Deutsche Motors, who test-drove with me that day, and he mentioned that while discounts might make it affordable now, securing inventory is quite challenging.

However, if you contact Mr. Noh from Deutsche Motors, the largest dealership in Korea, you should be able to secure inventory quickly.
