I had the opportunity to test drive the BMW 4 Series M Performance model, the M440i.

However, I found myself captivated by the intense driving performance of the M Performance model.

So, I approached this model with a sense of excitement during the test drive.

You probably understand why I have a preference for M Performance models.

At first glance, the M440i doesn’t seem to differ much from the standard 4 Series coupe sedan.

The M series features a sports car design that draws attention wherever it goes, thanks to its unique aesthetic.

However, aside from the design elements featuring cerium gray, the M Performance model maintains a more conventional sedan appearance.

This makes it a more practical choice for everyday use, allowing you to drive it without feeling conspicuous.

As someone who often has business meetings, I find the M Performance model more suitable than the M series.

On the other hand, this model boasts powerful performance that rivals the M series, making it a great recommendation for speed enthusiasts.

With a maximum output of 387 horsepower, peak torque of 50.9 kg·m, and a 0-60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds,

this car delivers an exhilarating driving experience that feels like a breath of fresh air.

The BMW 4 Series debuted earlier this year, garnering significant attention for its striking vertical kidney grille and sleek coupe design.

The vertical kidney grille received praise for its boldness right from its unveiling,

but it suits the youthful character of this coupe model perfectly.

Before diving into the full review, let’s take a look at the specifications, dimensions, and a brief driving experience.

The car measures 187.8 inches in length, 72.4 inches in width, and 54.9 inches in height.

With a wheelbase of 112.2 inches, it offers more space than I initially expected.

Typically, two-door coupe models are perceived as lacking sufficient space for adult men in the rear seats, but sitting in the second row of the M440i revealed generous legroom and headroom.

The price of this model ranges from approximately 6,000,000 KRW to 6,300,000 KRW (about 4,600 USD to 4,800 USD).

If promotional offers apply, the starting price could drop to the 7,000,000 KRW range (about 5,300 USD).

This price point makes it an excellent value considering its luxurious design and driving performance.

The M Performance model features a kidney grille, wheels, side mirrors, and M badges in cerium gray, enhancing its luxurious exterior design.

While the design is similar to the standard model, the M Performance-specific elements give it a unique appeal.

Moreover, the model features blue laser headlights, solidifying its status as a top-tier coupe sedan.

It’s safe to say that this design sets a new standard.

This model has also gained popularity among women.

My wife appreciates the sleek coupe design and the unique vertical kidney grille, which she finds appealing.

Whenever we see a BMW 4 Series on the road, we can’t help but admire it.

The striking design undoubtedly draws attention on congested streets.

The exterior color of the model I drove was Black Sapphire, paired with beige interior seats.

The exterior color is one of the most popular choices, and I found the combination with the beige seats very satisfying.

A more understated combination like this feels much more attractive than an overly flashy one.

As a couple who enjoys golfing, I can confidently say that both the interior and trunk space feel ample.

Additionally, the rear seats fold in a 40:20:40 split, allowing for comfortable transport of up to three passengers.

The Harman Kardon surround sound system provides a rich audio experience.

Thanks to this system, my wife and I enjoyed our drive while listening to music.

This model offers both the joy of driving and the pleasure of listening to music.

The Driving Assistant Professional feature enhances comfort during driving, which is another advantage of the BMW M440i.

I found the semi-autonomous driving feature particularly useful during long trips.

The response speed, lane recognition, and stability of the system impressed me greatly.

The M Performance model enjoys immense popularity due to its powerful driving capabilities.

Words can hardly capture this experience. The M440i, with its high-speed capabilities, could become a dream car for speed enthusiasts.

The driving modes include Sport, Comfort, and ECO PRO.

You can also charge your smartphone wirelessly.

Currently, due to the semiconductor shortage, options are frequently changing as they arrive in the country.

The price difference between the two models is around 1,500,000 KRW (approximately 1,150 USD).

If you’re considering a purchase, it’s essential to weigh these factors carefully.

Making a rational choice between economic considerations and convenience would be wise.

The side design of the BMW 4 Series coupe is particularly beautiful.

Being a two-door model, it seems to have a high level of design satisfaction.

I can honestly say it’s a design I want to drive daily with my wife.

Today, I find myself once again sharing why I love BMW’s M Performance models.

This model combines attractive design and color with intense driving performance and a variety of options.
