While few people worry about fuel consumption when choosing a flagship sedan,
this model boasts a combined fuel economy of 27.3 mpg.
It’s an economical choice that can reduce the frequency of stops at the gas station.
and the spacious trunk is a significant advantage over the plug-in hybrid model.
I tested the diesel short body model 730d, the plug-in hybrid model 745e,
and the gasoline long body model 740Li. After driving these various models, I clearly identified their unique features and strengths.

Looking at the BMW 730d model, while it is not a long body model,
it evokes the image of a muscular, handsome man.
Personally, I really love the design of BMW's blue laser headlight. It truly represents luxury.
The colors and design are so beautiful that they make the BMW 7 Series stand out even more.
The model I tested was the BMW 730d xDrive M Sport Package.
The design features a honeycomb structure surrounding the chrome at the lower parts of the front sides, indicating that it is an M Sport Package model.
I would personally recommend the M Sport Package model if I had to choose between the two.
The base price for the 730d xDrive with the M Sport Package is approximately $2,000 higher than the Pure Design model.

The first thing that surprised me was how much power the vehicle had, exceeding my expectations.
Before the test drive, I thought the 3.0L diesel engine in BMW's flagship model seemed weak,
Many people emphasize that BMW's short body models are owner-driven vehicles.
The strong torque provides an exhilarating acceleration, and the immediate response when pressing the accelerator is quite satisfying.
Above all, the thrill of the acceleration is sure to please young owners in their 30s and 40s.
The 6th generation facelift of the BMW 7 Series, released last fall, received praise for its significant changes and offers both design and luxurious driving environments.
The steering wheel features a simple design that provides a comfortable grip for the driver.
The 10.25-inch display maximizes driver convenience, allowing for comfortable use of gesture control and voice recognition features while driving.
The surround view system offers excellent visibility, making it useful for parking.
If you park while keeping an eye on the screen, you can finish the task without much difficulty.
The combination of ambient lighting and quilted seats is even more attractive in person.
The comfort and luxury provided by the premium leather seats are fundamental features of a flagship model.
In the second row, passengers can adjust various seat functions using a Galaxy tablet, but the test vehicle did not have one. It seems there are concerns about potential loss.
Next to the center console, you'll find seat position adjustment buttons, which respond satisfactorily.
The massage function is also available, which can be quite beneficial when fatigue sets in.
The second-row climate control is also user-friendly.
The short body model is 140mm shorter than the long body model, but the second-row space is still quite generous.
I believe headroom is adequate for individuals up to 5'11".
As mentioned earlier, rather than being a chauffeur-driven model for enjoying comfort in the second row,
it would be more appropriate to view it as an owner-driven model.
This model truly allows drivers to enjoy fun driving experiences.
The quilted leather seats and center console are also attractive.
BMW's attention to detail seems evident as they aim to attract not only existing fans but also owners of other brands.
It feels like they are joining the mainstream trend. However, BMW's greatest charm lies in its driving performance, doesn't it? Haha.
The center console might not offer a lot of space, but it should be sufficient for comfortably storing items while driving.
As a long-term non-smoker, I would recommend against smoking.
The more you drive the BMW flagship sedan 730d, the more attractive it becomes.
The smart key design and configuration are quite standard.
On that note, I thought that having just one BMW 730d model would fulfill all my wishes.
Although I have test-driven various models, the flagship model truly stands out. Haha.

I test-drove the BMW 730d model along with the 745e and 740Li series, and each model clearly has its own charm.
