Recently, I visited the Bridgestone J819 test drive event and had the opportunity to test drive a BMW M2 brought by my blog neighbor, Jay 82.
The BMW M2 is a dream car for young men, but with a price tag of 7.51 million won (approximately $5,700 USD), it's not easy to purchase.
This compact coupe model boasts a powerful output of 370 horsepower.
With a top speed of 155 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time of just 4.3 seconds, the driving experience is truly exhilarating.
(Engine displacement of 2979cc and maximum torque of 47.4 kg·m)
The BMW M2 I drove was a white model, but the blue color also suits the M series well.
Isn't white and blue the classic BMW combination?
The kidney grille has a compact feel, fitting for a small coupe model.
True to the M series, the front design prominently features the M shape.
The M2 symbols positioned around the front grille, rear, and door handles seem to ignite excitement in any man's heart.
Before the test drive, I couldn't understand why men were so passionate about the M series, but now I am all in for the M.
However, keep in mind that the price significantly increases with the selection of M package options.
As a high-performance model, the driving sensation is truly a work of art.
Accelerating while increasing speed, I found the intense exhaust sound and the feeling of power captivating.
Although it is small and compact, it offers an exhilarating duality in its performance.
Just looking at the rear muffler hints at the BMW M2's impressive acceleration capabilities.
On that day, I only pushed it to 81 mph, but I wished I could have driven it freely on an open highway.
This car begs to be driven, and I felt like I missed out on a proper taste of it while driving in the city.
The trunk space is as limited as one might expect.
For golf enthusiasts like me, folding down the back seats to create more space is advisable.
By folding down the middle and end seats in the back, you can create enough space for up to three people to go for a round of golf.
Two people can sit in the front, one in the back, and the remaining back seats can be folded down to accommodate golf bags.
In reality, the BMW M2 is better suited for solo drivers heading out for a round of golf rather than couples or carpools.
Overall, the design is fairly standard, but just seeing the M2 badge instantly elevates the feeling.
The car I drove that day had just 5,000 km on it, and it felt refreshing to drive such a new vehicle.
I want to extend my gratitude once again to Jay 82 for allowing me to test drive this amazing car.
(Additionally, thanks to Bavarian Motors for providing the long-term rental from the Jangyu showroom.)
The seats feel slightly hard, which may cause some fatigue during long drives.
However, the seats wrap around the body, providing a sense of stability for the driver.
As shown in the video, I initially thought there wasn't a button to save the seat position in memory for quick access.
Most cars seem to place the seat memory buttons around the window controls, but the BMW M2 has them located next to the seat.
I didn't plan on test driving the MXW M2.
I will share my detailed test drive review through a video, so please take a look, and if you find it helpful, I'd appreciate your subscription and likes.
