Hello, this is Double View, your automotive influencer.
As June arrives, the daytime temperatures approach 86°F, but
the cool mornings and evenings make it a perfect season for enjoying drives.
Recently, I took a café tour to Eunpyeong Hanok Village in a BMW 4 Series Convertible, and
the evening temperature was around 64°F, creating an ideal environment for cruising with the top down.
While driving with the top down offers a refreshing feeling and a unique charm,
the vehicle's price is higher compared to similar models, and
in South Korea, the distinct four seasons limit the days when you can actually open the roof,
leading to perceptions that its practicality is lacking.
Despite this, it creates the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a date with a partner, and
in weather like this, there’s no better car for a mood boost.
The BMW 4 Series Convertible comes in two powertrain options: the 420i and the M Performance model, the M440i.
The price difference between the two models is about 20,000 USD, and
for those who, like my spouse and me, prioritize the convertible's functional aspects over high-speed driving,
the 420i Convertible should be more than sufficient.
The MSRP for the BMW 420i Convertible is about 56,000 USD, and
considering registration taxes, you can expect to purchase it for around 61,000 USD.
Of course, applying various discounts that change monthly will determine the final price.
While the BMW 4 Series Convertible theoretically seats five,
in practice, many people use it as a two-seater.
The trunk space is about 102 cubic feet, which is limited since it accommodates the soft top.
As a result, most people use the rear seats for storage, treating them like a trunk.
Additionally, the rear seats lack reclining features, so passengers must sit upright.
If you have young children who have just graduated from a car seat,
you might consider using it as a family car until they grow up.
The BMW 420i Convertible features sport seats made from Vernasca leather, providing a comfortable seating experience.
Inside, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touch display seamlessly connect in a curved design,
The Harman Kardon premium sound system provides rich sound in any driving environment.
Experience the joy of driving a BMW convertible!
The BMW 420i Convertible combines a turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system,
delivering a maximum output of 190 ps and a peak torque of 23.3 kgf·m.
While the driving performance may not be overwhelmingly impressive,
every time you drive with the top down, the sensation of speed increases,
so there’s no real need to opt for the high-performance M440i model.
The 0 to 60 mph time is 8.2 seconds, but with the top down, it feels considerably faster, around the high 6-second mark.
the 420i Convertible offers a lower relative burden in terms of purchase price.
As you can see in the photos, driving with the top down alongside your partner or friends is bound to lift your spirits.
Moreover, if you carefully select the exterior color and interior combination according to your preferences,
you can enhance its value, making it a vehicle you won't just replace after a few years.
As we age, we want to enjoy life with the BMW 4 Series Convertible.
The BMW 4 Series Convertible has provided a refreshing experience throughout our drives.
How wonderful would it be to enjoy a drive while watching the sunset on a cool evening?
If you share our dream of owning a convertible,
