Hello, I'm Double Bogey, a golf influencer.
Last weekend, I visited Pangyo Golf and had the chance to test the new product from the premium fitting club brand ITOBORI, the
ITOBORI VR.4 irons.
As a golf blogger, experiencing various clubs is always enjoyable. However,
recently, I felt disappointed due to the lack of impactful new products. Then, I got to try the striking design of the ITOBORI 4th generation irons.
The results speak for themselves. I think golfers familiar with ITOBORI can understand why they keep coming back to this brand.
Shall we dive into the detailed club review and my hitting experience?
The most anticipated new product of 2025! The ITOBORI 4th generation irons!
ITOBOI has gained popularity for its unique designs and powerful performance, crafted from the skilled hands of traditional artisans.

Some say that while no golfer has ever experienced ITOBORI, once you do, you never forget it.
As a golf blogger with over ten years of experience, I rarely had the chance to try these clubs. However, I finally got an opportunity to test them with the 2025 product launch, and I now consider them the most impressive clubs of the year.
The ITOBORI 4th generation irons feature a 25C forged one-piece head, precisely machined with CNC technology, achieving an ideal cavity balance.
ITOBOI 4th generation irons review
The ITOBORI 4th generation irons boast such a stunning design that you might want to keep them as display pieces. However, placing them in your golf bag will surely catch the attention of your companions.
Now, how did the feel and distance of the ITOBORI 4th generation irons measure up?
At Pangyo Golf, I had the chance to test the irons at a private hitting bay equipped with TrackMan, where I could hit with my desired clubs and receive a one-on-one swing analysis from a skilled fitter.
While they might appear intimidating at first glance, the fitting clubs felt surprisingly comfortable during the test. I found myself thinking, "Is there really a club this comfortable?"
While they might appear intimidating at first glance, the fitting clubs felt surprisingly comfortable during the test. I found myself thinking, "Is there really a club this comfortable?"Even though they are half cavity irons, they provide the same level of comfort, distance, and accuracy as standard cavity-back irons. The feel during impact was quite satisfying.
These clubs offer a unique experience compared to typical fitting clubs; they don’t feel difficult to use at all, and the comfort is quite strong.
It’s hard to judge based on just one hitting session, but the premium fitting club delivers an appealing feel and a refreshing sensation that grows more attractive with each swing.
From an amateur golfer's perspective, clubs like this usually seem challenging. However, I felt a sense of familiarity and stability with them.
While they might give the impression of being advanced clubs to my companions, they actually feel quite comfortable and stable, providing an excellent feedback experience.
I recently tested the ITOBORI 3rd generation driver and uploaded my review, and I feel that the irons offer an entirely different charm.
I plan to test them on the course soon, and I think the newly launched ITOBORI products for 2025 will showcase even more than what I've experienced so far, making it a brand I eagerly anticipate.
The vibrant visuals and color of the ITOBORI utility clubs also caught my attention.
I had the chance to see the ITOBORI utility clubs in person, and they certainly grabbed my attention with their stunning design.
The utilities are now in stock, and Pangyo Golf informed me that the fairway wood lineup will be arriving soon.
Since these clubs are sold as limited editions, missing the timing means you won't be able to purchase them even if you want to. If you're interested, I recommend trying them out before making a decision.
Today, I shared a design review of the ITOBORI 4th generation irons along with a brief hitting experience.
In 2025, I find myself particularly drawn to ITOBORI clubs, likely due to the significant upgrades in design and performance compared to previous models.
Including the ITOBORI irons, you can test drivers, utilities, and fairway woods at the official distributor, Pangyo Golf.
As previously mentioned, since the private hitting bays offer skilled analysis from fitters, they operate strictly by reservation. Please contact them in advance to schedule your visit.
